2024 Gamay 'Purple Prose'- 91 pts (Gary Walsh - The Wine Front) "...interesting and good to drink.”

A$38.00

Overview: light, bright and juicy - best served slightly chilled

Winemaking: hand picked - 25% whole bunch ferment - 4 months large format oak - 4 months settling in tank - no fining or filtration

Aroma: red berries and florals mixed with almond and spice with an underlying mineral thread

Palate: medium bodied palate with raspberry, earth and a touch of mint - super fine and savoury finish

WINEFRONT REVIEW: 91 pts

Red cherry, dried flower perfume, also plenty of spice, almond, plus stalky herbal stuff. It’s medium-bodied, sappy red fruits, a grainy grip to tannin, good energy here, though you have to not mind some greener characters, with a spicy finish of good length. Nice wine for me. Interesting and good to drink.” (GARY WALSH)
